Abstract Painting of Jiz Lee

Did this portrait for friend and colleague Jiz Lee, genuinely one of the nicest people I am aware of. It benefits from a closer look — click to enlarge.

Jiz does a project called Karma Pervs, which is brilliant: You get amazing erotic art, and the money goes to non-profits like  Sex Worker Outreach Project. It’s a win-win.

TRIGGER WARNING: This post and the video linked below discuss suicide, self-harm, sexual harassment and exploitation of a minor, and slut-shaming. There is also a photo of self-harm at the end of the video.

“I have nobody. I need someone. My name is Amanda Todd….”

In September, the following video was posted to Youtube. It is hard, but please watch it if you can possibly bear to.

Amanda Todd died October 10th. She was 15.

The headlines have ignited a new round [...]

SeQueerntial Art: CURVY

I’ve been brainstorming a queer sci-fi sex comedy webcomic for a while now. One of the earliest ideas I had was to invert the hentia “tentacle monster” trope, by introducing a sentient “monster” that the protagonist fucks consensually. As usual, I thought I was being incredibly clever and original, and should have remembered the world is full of talented people who are much smarter than me and would think of this first. One of them is the creator of the weekly webcomic CURVY.

CrashPadSeries Logo

The new and improved CrashPadSeries.com went live last Monday. I can honestly say I’ve never been more pleased with a project; I’m unreservedly proud of this one.

It was a group effort, to be sure. The design direction was decided on by Shawn Tamaribuchi of LIARPHOTO and the results are brilliant. Everyone from Shine Louise Houston herself to behind-the-scenes folks like Jiz Lee spent hours helping with the tedious bits of copying five years of content from one WordPress install to another (I want to thank everyone individually, [...]

Regular readers (by which I mean “no one.” Most of you come here for 3 seconds after searching for “Ulfric Stormcloak Porn”) have probably noticed a sudden drop in posts to this blog for oh… five months or so. Here’s why.

A screenshot of the new Crash Pad Site

Since last November (and really, I started planning it a year prior) I’ve been working on a complex new build for The Crash Pad, the queer porn site I’m web manager for. This has included both a front-end redesign I helped [...]

Let’s Talk About Porn (Or Not)

I wrote the following essay for my colleague Jiz Lee’s open request for resources and stories about “Coming Out About Porn.” Jiz tells me they’ve received an epic amount of powerful personal accounts on the topic and have some exciting plans for them. In the meantime, here’s my contribution about the ways and reasons I’m not 100% out… about much of anything:

paper doll of a nude woman in a position of strength, with costumes for a soldier, Death, and angel.

Erotic Nightmares: Sexual Identity in Rocky Horror – Part 2

View Part 1 here.

In Part 1, I talked about Rocky Horror Picture Show creator Richard O’Brien’s late-life identity crisis and realization he felt of neither gender (I continue to use male pronouns in reference to O’Brien because he seems to himself). I then looked at several characters from the film in turn, analyzing them for potential meaning to back my theory that the film is largely about America’s fears of sexual deviancy. Let’s continue in that vein, non?

Rocky Horror - A Different Set of Jaws.

In 2009, in an interview with Dominic Wells, Richard O’Brien revealed undergoing an identity crisis within the last decade:

“I’ve been fighting never belonging, never being male or female, and it got to the stage where I couldn’t deal with it any longer. To feel you don’t belong . . . to feel insane . . . to feel perverted and disgusting . . . you go f***ing nuts. [sic]“

To many of the transsexual and genderqueer people I’ve known, this [...]

Logo for International Fisting Day, depicting a fist inside a heart.(Yeah, this one’s NSFW in the slightest, folks.)

It’s October 21st, and that means it’s officially unofficially officially International Fisting Day! Announced by queer porn superstars Jiz Lee and Courtney Trouble, Fisting Day is all about, well, the sexual act of fisting. But it’s also about the stigma surrounding it, and the ongoing de facto ban on showing it on DVD. It’s a day to fight back, by talking about it, watching it, doing it and loving it.

What follows are [...]

Elvira on a red sittee.

“And if they ever ask about me, tell them I was more than just a great set of boobs. I was also an incredible pair of legs. And tell them… tell them that I never turned down a friend. I… never turned down a stranger for that matter. And tell them… tell them that when all is said and done, I only ask that people remember me by two simple words… Any two, as long as they’re simple.” – Elvira
